Selecting The Right Ball: And Other Bowling Tips For Beginners

Bowling is a great pastime, and makes for some great times out. However, if you really want to take it up quite seriously, omitting to learn some of the more important skills can easily discourage you from going further. Here is a quick guide to some of the best bowling tips for beginners.

The first things to focus on is the ball selection; which can have huge consequences in mastering the game. It is vital ensure that the correct weight of ball is selected, and that it fits well into your hand.

 BYOB (Buy Your Own Ball)

Whilst house balls are okay for the casual bowler, for anyone wishing to make a go of the game, it is always advisable to buy your own ball. Prices do not have to be outrageous; even when you have the finger holes drilled for comfort; try looking online for the best deals, and as a rule, try not to buy anything from your local bowling center which always add a premium.

Shoes

Shoes are also important of course and again, these should not be limited to those on offer from the house selection. Quite apart from the hygiene issue of course, there is always a question over the condition of the shoe.

It is important to get a pair of bowling shoes that are a good fit, provide support, and allow for a smooth and friction free glide across the alley floor.

Develop Your Style

Once these items are sorted, which should not cost more than one hundred bucks; you can work on developing your style. To start however, develop your stance and the number of steps you take. Work on what is comfortable, before trying any particular technique though.

There are many other Bowling tips for beginners of course, these few a fundamental however. Once you feel comfortable through your bowling action, it will be time to explore further.

Is the arm ball and the doosra are the same offspin bowling type?

I’m learning the offspin Bowling, and sideways i’m also trying to learn the doosra ball,,recently i heard and saw in a video that the arm ball behaves just as the doosra ball i.e., turns the other way from leg side to off..after watchin that video i’m very much confused and asked this question.please help me in detail..thanks!!

yes it is.rg.

What is the best bowling ball with a medium to high hook potential.?

Just asking other bowlers their preferences on different Bowling balls they like to use, especially on medium to oily lane conditions.

My "arsenal" is as follows, and they are great on medium to oily conditions:
Brunswick Red Zone (drilled for max hook & backend)
Brunswick Red Zone (drilled for max distance before hooking)
Brunswick Ultimate Inferno
Brunswick Twisted Fury
Elite Black Label
Elite Gold Label
Elite PBA Chameleon
Columbia 300 Big Shot
Hammer Black Widow Bite
Hammer Black Widow Pearl

Since I bowl on various league and tournament lane surfaces, these Bowling Balls have helped me fight through oil by altering the surfaces to make them a bit more rougher or having my ball driller use exotic drillings to maximize their performance.

Hope this helps!

What are some funny jokes that pertain to the sport of bowling?

I might go bowling with a group of friends later this week and I was wondering if you knew any funny jokes I could crack up while we’re playing. Thanks.

Q: What is the 7th pin in bowling called ?
A: Mother-in-law!

Q: What do a Bowling ball and a blonde have in common?
A: Chances are they’ll both end up in the gutter!

If you can’t hear a pin drop, then something is definitely wrong with your bowling!

I go bowling once every four years to make sure I still hate it!

Johnny’s teacher tells her class, "Class, I’m going to ask you a question at 2.55pm every Thursday and whoever answers it correctly will be excused from school on Friday and can enjoy a three-day weekend."

The students got really excited about this and were anxiously awaiting fro Thursday afternoon to arrive. On Thursday, at precisely 2.55 pm, the teacher addressed the class. " Students, this week’s question is ‘Who can tell me Pythagorean Theorem ?" After a long pause she said, "Well, I guess I’ll see you all tomorrow."

The teacher was teasing the childern. She always planned to ask question that no fifth grader could ever answer.

Now Johnny was getting wise to the teacher’s scam. The following Thursday, Johny brought to school both his parent’s Bowling Balls. At 2.54, he rolled them down the aisle and they crased into the teacher’s desk. The teacher jumped up, came around the front of the desk and yelled, "All right, who’s the comedian with the big balls?"

Johnny says, "Eddie Murphy! See you Monday!!!.
