Ok, so ive been bowling for about 4 years and i am planning on getting a new ball. i recently moved to reno/ carson area in NV and I want to know where the best place to get my ball drilled correctly THE FIRST TIME (this includes measuring my hand) !! without paying more than my arm! please let me know if you have any suggestions
thank you!
The best pro shops I’ve gotten bowling equipment drilled at would be at the Grand Sierra Resort’s pro shop and at the Reno National Bowling Stadium. A couple of PBA professionals I’ve bowled with in the Western Region, staff that pro shop at the Grand Sierra and provide the best in ball drilling and lessons, if needed. When the USBC national tournament hits the National Bowling Stadium, I visit the "Lane 81" pro shop because it’s staffed by representatives for all bowling equipment manufacturers and it’s like a huge candy shop for bowlers of every skill level because all new and old Bowling Balls are up for sale and upcoming releases are showcased.
Considering I’m still a part time PBA bowler, I still receive free drilling at the pro shop, but please give them a call and find out what it costs for fitting and drilling at (775) 789-2296. Good luck!

For better answers on bowling topics, take a look at the message forums on http://www.pba.com – many top bowlers post there, and some would certainly have a good idea of where a good pro shop in Reno might be.
The National Bowling Stadium in Reno does have a pro shop, though I don’t know anything about its staff. I do, however, know that some of the largest PBA tournaments are held in that building.
