Dirty short pitch bowling at 150 kph in T-20 format , duck, leave or give wicket?

Sunday, May 16th, 2010

ICC to review that the balls are limited in T-20 cricket, should they come up with rules against such dirty foul play by teams.
it is easy to sit cosy after putting a good score at board and bowl a flood of short pitch, rules must be changed to affect the lagality of such play. hook or pull is the only option left in such case.
it is T-20 , not a test match where i can duck for any number of short pitch balls !

Lol, you poor loser, if you bowl short to genuinely good batsmen you get punished, what does this tell you?
Perhaps India’s bowlers should give it a go…..ooops sorry, I forgot they don’t reach these speeds !!!
Edit: @ MBTM. Sorry to be so dumb, I thought that the ‘ worlds best team’ would be able to handle legitimate Bowling at below head height, as obviously you, being such a genius, will know anything above shoulder height is a No ball.
Perhaps, you being the intelligent one, should suggest to the ICC that all bowlers should only bowl half volleys then your poor little batsmen wont have to think too hard.
May I also congratulate you on your fine English, your first days tuition has gone well, by the time you reach puberty you may well have picked up some Grammar as well.
@ Rossi. Of course hes talking about India v Aus and he calls it ‘ dirty foul play’, read the question before making yourself look silly.

why same bowling tactics of bouncers in T-20 by australia doesn’t work in test matches against India?

Friday, May 14th, 2010

ICC should wake up, they are misusing the format and rules , the no. of balls are limited and legitimacy has to be reviewed considering the unsporting marginal call bouncers assault on face of batsmen.

LOL, people like Mcgrath, Gillespie, Lees, Taits etc can’t get us out for two days in our test innings Bowling bouncers lol.

Do you live in a bubble MBTM?

Lane #1 Blue Death Massacre Bowling Balls?

Sunday, April 4th, 2010

reviews? what kind of lane are they suited for?

They are suited for the wider and higher Lane.

Greetings The Freak

who agrees with unsporting SA cunning, shrewd and dirty tactics?

Monday, February 15th, 2010

They consumed two days scoring slow and boring the hell outta Indians scoring only 550 odd runs, the purpose was simple not to lose the match and forcing India to score faster to get result and Indians fell into the dirty trap. Not only this the bowling line from Parnell and Morkel have been absolutely wide to lay the trap . Harris is bowling negative line .

The tactics were very unsporting, do you think it is time for ICC to review the rules of wide balls in test cricket and also negative Bowling.

genuine comments only.
it is unfortunate that India already lacked 3 premier seasoned test players and above that unsporting and unethical ways of SA.

India should learn a lesson from here and never should try to force the game against dirty teams like SA. put your heads down and play , if other party is not interested , we should we try to force the pace of the game.

A team can do whatever it likes to try and win the game. If it means spending the best part of two days to score 558, then so be it. What wasn’t bargained for was the piss poor batting that India produced in the run chase.

If India performed like the #1 team it is alleged to be, they would be closing in on that 558, and still be in it’s first innings.

However, it wasn’t to be and the real India turned up. Currently at 126/4, they still need 199 to make SA bat again. Game could be all over today.

*EDIT – You mention how slow SA were in scoring their runs, well take a look at Saccharine’s current scoring rate.

He is on 87. He has faced 154 balls. He has hit 11 fours. Therefore, he has scored 43 of 143 balls. That sure is a rapid fire scoring rate.

Distance, Displacement, Speed, Velocity, and Acceleration Review?

5. Sometimes the numerical part of an acceleration is given as a negative number. How is a negative acceleration different from a positive acceleration?

6. Is the object accelerating in the following example? Choose yes or no and an explanation.

10. A descendant of Galileo drops a Bowling ball, baseball, and crow’s wing feather from the top of the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Tell which of the objects hits first, second, and third.

Explain your answer.

11. A car is traveling along at 50 mph, according to the speedometer. Thelma is driving and Louise is in the passenger’s seat.

————————————–…

What is Louise’s speed from Thelma’s point of view (frame of reference)?

50 miles/hour
not enough information to tell
over 100 miles/hour
0 miles/hour
100 miles/hour
between 0 miles/hour and 50 miles/hour
between 50 miles/hour and 100 miles/hour

12. Explain your answer to question #11.

13. A car is traveling along at 50 mph, according to the speedometer. Thelma is driving and Louise is in the passenger’s seat.

————————————–…

Wayne is standing at the curb as the car passes him. What is Louise’s speed from Wayne’s frame of reference?

not enough information to tell
between 50 mph and 100 mph
100 mph
50 mph
between 0 mph and 50 mph
over 100 mph
0 mph

14. Explain your answer to #13.

15. A car is traveling along at 50 mph, according to the speedometer. Thelma is driving and Louise is in the passenger’s seat.

————————————–…

A police helicopter is hovering directly over the car as it moves along. What is Louise’s speed from the pilot’s frame of reference?

over 100 mph
between 0 mph and 50 mph
not enough information to tell
50 mph100 mph
between 50 mph and 100 mph
0 mph

16. Explain your answer in #15.
I know its alot I know i should do this myself Ireally need help badly my mom or myself cannot get the answers HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM BEGGING YOU PLEASE

You need to break these down into separate questions. No way is anyone going to keep scrolling up and down so they can do your entire homework assignment.

The answer to 15. is 0mph.

16. 0 mph because the car and the helicopter are moving the same speed. If you ignored everything around them, neither would appear to be moving. If the helicopter was moving past the car, Louise’s speed would appear to be negative or backwards. If the car was moving ahead of the helicopter, Louise’s speed would be positive but would not appear as fast to the police in the helicopter as is would to an observer on the ground.

Which ball tripod do you recommend? I’m looking for 100% quality not look alike junk.?

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

Well 1st things 1st
I have a heavier well built CN DSLR (not consumer grade) & some zooms & tele converters & extension tubes.
Whatever I buy will have to be tough enough.
I’ve been looking & browsing at the auctions & the internet.
I’m very suspicious of the quality & decided not to buy fake brands.
I would prefer a metal ball made of steel VS aluminum or plastic.
I’m not 100% sure I want a well known brand name with a phenolic ball. It sounds a like special plastic that my Bowling balls is made of.
Also someone reviewed & tore apart a $120 less priced, yet popular name brand making look alikes & proved it was total junk showing photos as proof.
Some popular auction merchants don’t even offer or imply a warranty.
ACTUALLY I MEANT BALL TRIPOD HEAD

You don’t mention your budget so I will make certain assumptions. You could spend a small fortune and purchase an Arca-Swiss or you could get a bogen/manfrotto that is extremely well made and won’t cause you to re-mortgage your home. I have a 488RCO which will support 17.6 lbs and has served me very well for quite a few years. B&H has it for around $107. Here is a link to the B&H web page:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=WishList.jsp&A=details&Q=&sku=272989&is=REG

As far as the tripod goes I have a bogen/manfrotto 3021BN which is a great all around tripod and is extremely well made. link:

Physics, please help! (studying for a test)?

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

Okay, so I have a test tomorrow afternoon, and I’ve gotten through most of my review. I’m stuck on one because I don’t know what equation to use. You don’t have to work through the problem, just put me in the right direction so that I can do the math myself?

1. When Bowling, your physics buddy asks how much impulse is needed to stop a 10-kg bowling ball moving at 6 m/s. What is your answer?

2. A 2-kg ball of putty moving to the right has a head on inelastic collision with a 1-kg putty ball moving to the left. If the combined blob doesn’t move just after the collision, what can you conclude about the relative speeds of the balls before they collided?
(For this one, am I correct in thinking that the 2-kg putty is moving at half the speed of the 1-kg putty? That just seems logical, but I don’t know what equation to use)

1. impulse is equal to change in momentum (delta p). therefore use your initiall momentum as
pi = mvi and use ur final momentum as pf = mvf. you know the ball needs to be stopped therefore your final velocity and as a result momentum are both 0. so ur answer is impulse = pf – pi
= 0 – pi

remember you will get a negative answer here as the ball is slowing down. this is assuming that the ball speeding up would be positive. this is just one way of setting up your frames of reference. you could just as easily let the condition that the ball slows down be a positive value, but then the condition that the ball speeds up is negative.

2. yes correct, the condition that the two objects hit each and come to rest immediately after impact is such that their two momentums are equal since they are oppositely directed. given by:
p1 = m1v1 and p2 = m2v2 where m1v1 = m2v2. using that last eqn, you can conclude that the 1kg object is travelling at double the speed of the 2kg object. or as you said, that the 2kg object is moving at half the speed of the 1kg object

Review my horse treat recipe please?

Sunday, January 10th, 2010

Sticky oat horse treats

1 1/2 cup dry oatmeal
1 cup flour
1/ cup maple syrup
1 cup shredded carrots or apples
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
2 teaspoons vegetable oil

Step1. Mix all dry ingredients (oatmeal, flour, salt and sugar) into a large bowl and blend thoroughly.
Step 2. Add your wet ingredients to your dry mix one at a time. Start with the vegetable oil and then add your shredded carrots or apples. The maple syrup will be the most difficult to blend in, but its thick, sticky texture will hold your horse treats together.
Step 3.Place the entire mix in the refrigerator and allow it to chill. This will make the mix easier to work with when you’re trying to roll it into balls or flatten it to cut out shapes.
Step 4.Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Step 5.Roll the chilled mixture or dough into 1 inch balls using your fingers or two spoons. Place them 1 ½ inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. This recipe should make approximately 30 horse treats depending on the size of your cookies.
Step 6.Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 7.Let the cookies cool completely.

Sounds like something I’d make for my goats. Except when i did them, I mixed in some of their grain ration. Raisins would be a good add-in also. Yum!

I’m getting a puppy in a few days, and I would like you to review all the supplies that I have and make sure I didn’t forget anything. Also, if you have any suggestions about anything that would be useful.. that would be great! Thanks!

I have the following:
- Crate
- Bedding for Crate
- Blanket to cover Crate
- Baby Gates
- Food
- Water and Food Bowls
- Poopy Bags
- Puppy collar
- Walking Leash
- Leash for the backyard (use when doing business..15ft)
- Biscuits
- Stuffed dog toys
- Balls
- Chew toys
- Brush
- Toothbrush Kit
- Puppy Shampoo
- Puppy Grooming Spray
- Bell (To hang on door… rings when needed to go out)
- Vet Appointment
- Dog books

AND: Love and Care.

I am picking up an ID tag soon.
Jessika: Yep, I have a collar, though I wrote it on the list as Puppy collar, so that is why you might’ve missed it.

The puppy will be gated in the kitchen until potty trained. (not to worry, the kitchen is fairly large) So would you say I still need to get that Enzymatic Cleaner?

Good for you!
You seem very prepared and well researched.
One last thing I would suggest you remember to have with you at all times is patience.
Puppies need it, but they’re worth it.
Good luck with your new dog.

edit: also remember to puppy proof your house and/or yard and store away any rat poison, bug spray, etc. so that she can’t get to it.
here is a list of plants and foods that are toxic to dogs; be sure to avoid giving her these.
