Where can I sell my bowling ball locally in Chicago?

Sunday, April 25th, 2010

I’m trying to find a place to sell my bowling ball in Chicago. I can’t seem to find a place that buys used Bowling balls. Anyone know of any place?

I would try Play it Again Sports. I don’t know where you live but there’s a number of stores in the area. I know for sure there’s one at Irving and Ashland.

Where is the best place to buy a 23-pound bowling ball?

Saturday, April 10th, 2010

16 pounds seems to be the max.

I have never heard of a 23 pound Bowling ball. The max is 16. Why would you want a 23 pound bowling ball anyway? The goal is to knock down the pins not smash them.

Where can I buy a discontinued bowling ball?? (besides Ebay or Amazon)?

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

I’m trying to find a discontinued Bowling ball for my boyfriend. Its called "The Hex" and its made by Track. I think it was discontinued in 03 or 04, and I cant find one ANYWHERE. I need a 15 or 16lb ball. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it. Ive looked everywhere I can! Thanks!

The only place you’re likely to find it is on eBay. And even eBay has none listed right now.

what is a good bowling ball to buy?

Saturday, February 13th, 2010

i am searching for a valentines day gift for my boyfriend… he really enjoys bowling competitively i know nothing about what Bowling Balls are good or what brands or anything and i really want him to be pleased…. if you know what is a good one as far as quality goes please let me know… thanks!

Hi there.

Being a bowler myself, I have run into problems like this, although it has been trying to buy Bowling balls for myself.

The first thing that you need to know, and this is directed straight towards you, is how much you are willing to spend. Depending on the brand of the ball, and other various factors, they can cost anywhere between $80.00-$500.00 brand new. However, if you would like to buy a used ball, then it would likely be cheaper.

Now that you have decided your spending limit, you would have to figure out his bowling style. Does he throw straight balls, curve balls? Is he really strong, and need a heavier ball?

Here is my honest opinion of what you should do. I think you should tell him that you want to get him a bowling ball for Valentine’s Day, but you can let him pick out what he wants. That way, he will be able to find the correct weight, the correct type of ball, and he will be able to drill it to his fingers.

Good luck!

Im a left-handed bowler in need of a new bowling ball. What would be a good ball to buy?

I am on my school team and my coach suggested i get a new ball. I’m just curious on inputs from other bowlers! Thanks for all inputs!

Also i throw a hook ball and i throw it around the second arrow.

Well for what you need is to buy a ball that fits your needs now and in the near future. If your going to try a fingertip ball then you should get a ball that hooks Get a resin ball like a Lane 1 ball or a storm ball. They seem to be the best balls on the market I feel..
If you throw a straight ball then go with something that doesn’t hook like a white dot or urethane ball . But the best thing is to buy a mid range so you have versatility so you can throw it different places on the lane.
To be a better bowler I would say get one resin and one polyester (plastic or hard rubber ball. Rubber balls are a little more easier to use because they don’t jump when they hit a dry spot on the lane like plastic does.

What are some things to look for when buying a bowling ball?

I know what weight I need. just don’t know what type of ball. Brand wise does it really make a difference?

well the best you can get is a particle Bowling ball next best is resin reactive.. i have the latter..but i plan to get a particle ball ..the brand really makes some difference but not much..all particle balls has awesome hiting power…brunswick and ebonite are the best 2 brands and after that storm i would also recomend
