Well, I just started bowling about 2 months ago. I use the no thumb method and average 120 with house balls. I’m looking to buy my own ball but I don’t know which. I start one the left, bowl it to the right and curve it to the left. So, any suggestions on which ball to get would help! 
I’m looking for it not to be too expensive, around 60-80$?
Also, how do you tell if a lane is highly oiled or dry and whatnot? Thanks for your help!
Also, how much does the lane oil matter?

I am a pretty good bowler and from experience I highly recommend using your thumb!! Using no thumb will make you fairly susceptible to injury. As for finding the right ball for you, I suggest seeing a pro in your local Bowling alley’s pro shop. He will be able to help you make the right decision for your style, age, weight, height, etc.
P.S. – The lane oil matters a lot!
