How can I remove lane oil from my bowling ball?

I think my ball has a lot of built up oil in it. The thing has a tendency to almost appear to be sweating it out sometimes and that messes with it as it travels down the lane. I heard there is a way to "cook" the ball in an oven. Is there a proper technique for this and if so, what is it?

i soak mine in DAWN dish soap in my sink i use a cap full or a squirt or 2 and i let isit in there for about half hour or so ..and then i just wipe it off..make sure you cover the holes….sometiomes i do mine twice and it works great…cooking can be real bad for the ball,,,oneof mine cracked when i threw it after i did that
