I am currently using a brunswick Fury Bowling ball. I have a 185 avg, but I want to have a bigger hook and longer break arc to this ball. The house I bowl at is pretty oily conditions, and I tend to get a over/under reaction on this ball as is. What should I use to increase the hooking action on this ball?
Scotchbrite pads with specific roughnesses will do the trick, especially if you have a ball spinner to roughen it up evenly or just bring the ball to your nearest pro shop to rejuvenate the coverstock. After you tell them how you want the ball to react, they will renew the coverstock first to remove all lane conditioner, then adjust the cover with a specific coarseness pad to get it rough enough.
Hope this helps!
