im in a huge argument with my roommate. By regular i mean, apparently a professional tournament bowling alley is different than a regular Bowling alley just for recreation, and professional bowlers can bowl a perfect game regularly on a regular bowling alley? is this true?
It is not necessarily the alley that is different. The way that the oil is laid down on the lanes is the biggest difference. What I mean by that is the thickness of the oil and the distance in which the oil machine is programmed. To see the patterns the pros bowl on visit the pba website.
If you would put a professional bowler on the same oil pattern as a recreational or your regular league bowler they would probably bowl a perfect game on a more regular bases than an average person. It is tough to say that they would bowl a perfect game on a regular bases but it would be often.
