i played last night and i was terrible perhaps if i got a few tips then i might be able to win a game .
Use a four step approach. Try this a few times to determine the best starting position as you want to finish with the toe of your right foot (assuming you are right handed) right at but not touching the foul line. Hold the ball slightly in front of your stomach with your right hand on the right side of the ball and your left underneath it. 1. Take a small step with your right foot and at the same time push the ball away from you. 2. As you take the next and longer step with your left foot, allow the ball to begin to swing behind you. Keep your right thumb pointed to the left, 3. The ball should complete a swing behind you as you finish your next step with your right foot then as you 4. STEP AND SLIDE on your left foot while your right leg swings around behind your left leg, the ball swings forward and you release it. The swing of the right leg will counterbalance the twisting caused by the weight of the ball. Watch other people who are scoring well for this technique. The ball should be released about half way between the center and right edge of the lane. It will gently curve (hook) to the left and enter the pins between the first pin and the one to the right. You do not want to hit the head pin dead on. It will take some time to develop the technique but will be worth it.
