I am so spitting mad right now that I cannot stand it. My nephew, who is suppossed to be a good vegan kid, has made me mad. I told him this past week that all vegans should shun the Super Bowl (all sports actaully) because the ball is made out of leather and a lot of teams have animals as their mascots. He said he would because he understood the significance of the problem. Well, last night I was reviewing his vegan homework in his "How to be a perfect Vegan in an immoral world" vegan codebook when it came out that he watched the Super Bowl. I blew up because I told him he just indirectly supported the deaths and exploitation of millions of animals! He said he didn’t see anything with it.
I got so mad I gave him a flunking grade on his homwork, which it will make it that much harder for him to be an officer on our animal rights group.
How should I approach him about this infraction? Is it that bad?
Professional footbalss are still made out of leather. This is murder people not a sport. You people are like the Romans waiting for the Gladiators.
Vegan homework? That sounds like fun. Watching the game is not going to make a difference dear, it had the highest ratings of any Super Bowl ever.
BTW, as much as it pains me Ashley is correct. Both Professional and Collegiate teams still use leather footballs. The same is true for basketball.
