What type of bowling balls should I get?

What brand of bowling ball would you recommend? Just to use on regular, moderately-greased 10-pin lanes? (Not a curve ball)

There are Bowling Balls made of plastic and polyester (Brunswick T-Zone) Bowling balls with cool designs in the cover (Brunswick "Viz-A-Ball") and urethane or reactive coverstock balls for beginners (Brunswick Groove/Avalanche, Columbia 300 Scout, Storm Tropical Storm or Ebonite Tornado). Straight bowlers can definitely benefit from having a urethane or reactive bowling ball, then when you learn how to hook the ball, you can use the same one.

You can find these at your local pro shop or at bowling.com, EBay, bowlingball.com and bowlersparadise.com. Good luck!
